Dating Tips?

Do's and Dont's in Dating

A lot of people complain about being in a relationship. A lot of people complain about being single. Due to the complaints people have regarding these things, the process of dating had emerged.

Dating, as defined by Wikipedia, is a form of courtship done by two persons with the aim of each assessing the other's suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or as a spouse. Why do we go on a date? There are two possible reasons. 1. You want to escape singlehood and 2. You want to simply float along without getting stressed on what a relationship could give.

Whatever reason or reasons we have, I know we are rooting for one thing, to have our dates with us for a long time. Who doesn't want to have someone special during cold and lonely nights by the way?

In order for us to have those people with us for a long time, here are some things you must do and things you must not do when dating.

Here are some of the things you must always DO.

  • Be Attentive.
-Ladies, pay attention that what he is saying. Listen to his ideas, rants and what he has to say. Try to understand his thoughts, if you really can't, pretend that you do. Try to always look interested. Do this and I'm sure, he'll treat you as his ears and his bestfriend.

  • Compliment.
-Gents, Learn how to compliment your woman. Let's face it, girls like to feel that they are the most precious thing you have. By doing this, you would be able to build her confidence and I'm pretty sure, she would surely subliminally ask for more. Girls do fishing well. It's time you guys exercise you being a smooth talker. Do this and I'm sure, she'll find herself interested with what you have to compliment next. Isn't that exciting?

  • Keep the conversation interesting as always.
-This applies to all of us. We all know that beauty fades. As a bitchy friend told me, if you are beautiful, try to be intelligent, if you are intelligent, somehow make an effort to look good. No matter how beautiful or handsome someone is, as long as he or she is not that sensible, things won't work. We have to deal with the fact that it has always been the “wit” that keeps us glued to someone. Honestly, I prefer talking with someone sensible, than someone who's an eye candy but an empty nutshell. Conversations are essentials, you'll be doing this for the rest of your waking life.

Now, we're done with the Yin, let's go with the Yang.

Here are some things we must not DO when we are dating someone.

  • Don't be a perfectionist.
-Who says your perfect? Yourself? You might have thought highly of yourself. Let's face it, you're not. Whenever you date someone, get rid of your ideals. You have to remember that you are not a robot, you are human and you've got your imperfections. Whenever your date errs to you or does you wrong, reconsider, for you too might have done something that your date had already placed reconsiderations. As they say, mistakes make you human. Be not a perfectionist and learn how to forgive. The key term here is reconsideration.

  • Never let money get in the way.
-We know that the love of money is the root of all evil, same goes with dating, money can be the root of heartache and pain. There are someone instances that dates don't go the way you want them to go because of money. Never let money become an issue. If one of you wants to go dutch, do it. If one wants to pay the bill for the two of you, be it. Understand and consider one's financial capabilities. It's never wrong to coordinate with the expenses you have whenever you dine in a fancy restaurant. Keep communication and mindsets open regarding the money matter.
  • Never let someone feel disrespected.
-We all have differences. One might be the President of a multicorporation, another might be a simple salesclerk in a department store. Regardless of the status, despite the differences, never let someone feel disrespected while you are dating someone. You must not let someone feel inferior whenever you talk or go on a date. When someone started feeling small, that triggers the feeling of disrespect. Never let someone feel that you are eyeing them. Always make them feel respected in whatever ways possible. As we all know, respect goes well with romantic attachment. Respect eqautes to love, and that's what someone should feel.

Dating is one of the simple ways on how we know and screens our potential partners. Do it perfectly and smoothly, I assure you, you'll get one worthy and one who's gonna be with you for the rest of your life. It won't hurt to follow these steps.

Note: Nasulat ko to in just an hour or two dahil ngarag ako speech to ni someone. Hahahaha!
